i later got to know that mr akpam is one of the
driver of ORIENTAL HOTEL where we were lodgd
the hotel is located at Lekki area, very close to
lekki toll-gate(i can’t really remember that very
well now)
we were all lodged in different room
durin our journey from asaba, i have let dem
(my colleagues) know that i will rush down to
ibadan the followin day (saturday)to attend to
some family issue den come back on sunday
while i was in bed relaxin, i made a call to sister
that i ll enter ibadan the next day
the following morning i dressd myself up and
get read to leave
but firstly i notify my colleagues befor i depart
in less than 2hrs 30mints we got to challenge
(d last bus stop for d bus i boarded)
the old and ugly buses i saw at challenge made
me dislike the city i ve lived for over 33yrs
when i was stil livin there(ibadan) i thought the
city belong to the modernize cities in nigeria
but when i had the opportunity of living
somewhere else
then i knew that ibadan need to improve in
they style of living
i join another bus goin to apata area where my
sister and her family stays
it was Nonso i first met at the gate when i enter
the compound
he was happy to see me again
he ran to me and huged me while shoutd
“uncleeee”
he collectd the bag of fruits i bought for them
without asking him if anybody was at home, he
started wit
my mummy is at home
grandma is in guest room sleepin
my mummy said u ll come
will u take grandma’s stroke away” he ask
Nonso, mama is ok” i said
no no no” he said while we the house
when we enter i saw my mum eatin food
happily
i was happy for seeing her that way
but i noticed that she lose weight abite
she was happy when she saw me
she quickly drop the spoon and stood on her
feet to huge me

my sister came out from her bed room also to
greet me
we discusd many things including mama’s
health, my settling down and d dream she had
by 3pm i decided to go out and say hello my
ibadan friends
