See The 2016 List Of Irrelevant Record Labels In Nigeria

2016 was a Year filled with Quality music from many Nigerian artiste under Various Labels.

However, Some Record Label were not so lucky to have any of their Artistes dish out quality music.

Below is the List of Irrelevant Record Labels In Nigeria In 2016

1. Knight House:- We all know “Knight House” was one of the best record label back then, they had the likes of Mocheda and Phenom, abruptly they stopped giving their artistes a proper promotion like they used to, over years now Knight House is not active in the industry.

2. Trybe Records:- Back in the days, this label owned by Eldee tha Don housed many heavyweight greats like 2shotz, Sojay and K9 etc. It later rejuvenated itself by signing Eva Alordiah, Sheyman, Sarz. One by one these artistes dissociated themselves from the label and today this record is defunct.

3. Coded Tunes:- Thanks to Coded Tunes for helping us unleash the beast in Olamide baddo, but the fact is Coded Tunes is no longer active in the industry. Why?, Ok Olamide left the label for his own personal reason which is paying him millions today, but am still wondering why coded tunes is no longer active in the industry or should I say ID Cabasa is not into music again? only God knows.

4. Kennis Music:- The former home of one of Nigerian greatest living legends; 2face, can’t boast of any known act in the music scene anymore. The last we heard of was Capital Femi and lately his whereabouts is unknown. Joe El is currently signed to Kennis Music but right now, We ain’t feeling him.

5. DB Records:-Yes DB Records make this list, I can’t find any active artiste in this label except the founder “D’banj”, even D’banj him self knows the label is not active. He hardly mention the label in his projects, he signed Tonto Dikeh and 2Kriss, but to be sincere where are they?
